Is it really possible to get falsely accused for a serious crime you haven't commited?

Find today's technology is it really? I find it hard to believe. some peopel say on forums.. He's been falsly accused and served years in prison for rape or murder.

Of course. There are people that have spent years in jail for a crime that they didn't commit. Some people got sentenced to serious time before we had advancements in DNA testing and only recently got released because the new DNA tests exonerated them.
