Taste, well-being of human animals and non-human animals, the environment, saving money, etc.

Because I care about the animals, environment and my own health.

I feel bad about the animals that are slaughtered, mistreated, abused and all of that. So, I am vegan for the animals.

I'm not a Vegan. I would avoid it since veganism is associated with mental illness, and it isn't clear whether the diet causes mental illness or the Vegan lifestyle just tends to attract mentally ill people. This question is much discussed in the medical literature.

It is quite clear that many posting here as vegans have serious mental issues. They murder their own pets for eating meat, vandalize property of non-vegans, and openly wonder if they shouldn't be firebombing McDonald's, or Burning down slaughterhouses.
And even the very few posting here who don't show such obvious signs of mental disturbance have other serious mental issues. These often manifest themselves in hostility toward anyone who dares to tell them the truth about the unhealthy nature of the vegan diet, or the tragic cost it has to the young vicitms who, even if they aren't actually murdered by their vegan parents, often suffer serious medical problems from their unnatural diets.

It is fantastically ironic that while throwing tantrums about animal testing, these vegans are actually performing dietary experiments on their own children which have been known for decades to have catastrophic results. the Poor mental, and skeletal development of many vegan children bears witness to this.

Because of the animals just like all other vegans. You cannot really be vegan for health or the environment because not exploiting animals has nothing to do with health or the environment. Yes veganism does have benefits for your health and the environment but veganism itself is about the animals.

Just so you are aware of what veganism is:
The word 'veganism' denotes a philosophy and way of living which seeks to end the idea of animals as property and exclude all forms of intentional exploitation of, use of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing, research or any other purpose; and by extension, promotes the development and use of animal-free alternatives for the benefit of animals, including humans and the environment.

Although I didn't quite make it to veganism, I was a vegetarian for a couple years. I did it because I was concerned about animal welfare. I'd have loved to continue on to becoming vegan but had to quit for health reasons.

I'm a vegetarian but transitioning into becoming a vegan. I don't eat animals because of ethical reasons. I don't like the way animals are treated, and the meat & dairy industry are disgusting.

I'm not entirely, occasionally, I'll have an egg or two, because I get hypoglycemic if I try to live on beans and nuts for protein. However, I prefer to be Vegan, because it feels so fantastic. My body LOVES vegetables.
