I don't understand how to find the limit for this problem?
So the limit is lim as x is approaching 1 from the right and the prob;em is x^2+1/x-1. You get 0/2 for this, but my prof got the answer of + infinity and I don't understand how he got it. Help please?

(x^2 + 1) / (x-1)
(1^2 + 1) / (1-1) = 2 / 0
That would suggest that your limit is going to infinity.
what remains is to see if it + infinity or - infinity
the numerator is positive. and if you approach 1 form the right so is the denominator.
+ infinity.
