Why is it that people who believe god is all powerful but put limitations on what god is capable of doing?

Yes!

God can answer your prayers and get your friend to unblock you on facebook whilst magnificently starving 12 million African children every year.

Which is more powerful evolution or creation. We believe what the Bible says, and the Bible says God created the worlds and everything in them. Evolution is not in the Bible. Evolution is man's way of disputing the power of God.

Just as Peter looked at the waves instead of Jesus as he was walking on the water, people often look to their circumstances instead of to God's promise to them in His Word
We ALL have different levels of faith. It is up to the individual to increase the measure of faith that he has been given.

Actually it is our Creator who puts limits on HIMSELF. Seriously, if we imperfect humans have that much power over our Creator, does that not call into question the authenticity of our Creator?

People tend to equate our Creator to tv superheros and yet, even they had limitations.

The exact limitations of our Creator are:

He cannot die
He cannot come to our earth
He cannot lie
Cannot go against the very essense of what he is.

Evolution has nothing to do with intelligence design!

Why would our Creator create evolution and be happy for humans to veer away from himself to worship the creation?

An all-powerful god could have created everything just the way he wanted it, without using evolution. Evolution could proceed just fine without the guidance of any god. In short, god wouldn't need evolution, and evolution doesn't require god.

There's no point in trying to rationalize what's based totally on emotion and imagination. All the theology written over the past 2000 years has never done it and no one ever will because it's impossible.

i think God himself limits his powers until legally necessary. Jesus himself has all authority to judge the earth, but yet he has 24 elders that help him judge the earth. and while Jesus has the keys of the resurrection, he gives authority to Elijah withthe keys of genealogy. or he gives prophets the authority to officiate over the church, and unto apostles he gives the right of agency to preach unto congregations. and for those that are not prophets and special witnesses he also allows men to ordain teachers and deacons to officiate in leadership roles through offices in the church.

God is not all anything except one thing, love. Anyone under the impression God is all powerful neither studies his word very well, or understands the logic of why that would be impossible especially for a creator who is ALL loving as the two things are a contradiction.

It is not that God could not "create" by evolution, it is that He did not do it that way.

God could have demanded that each and every one of us be crucified on the cross for our sins, but He did not do that. One of the reasons is that His standards for sin payment would not allow our imperfect and sinful selves be an acceptable sacrifice. Instead, He chose to sacrifice His Son, Jesus, to be the perfect sacrifice for our sins - so that everyone that believes in Him can be saved.

The presumption that evolution is the reason for all of the different variations within a kind has been proven to be moot since God has designed the "kinds" to have embedded the ability to diverge into different apparent animals - though they are all related. As an example, dogs can easily breed with one another, whether wolves, dingoes, coyotes, or domestic dogs. When dogs breed together, you get dogs; so there is a dog kind. It works the same with chickens. There are several breeds of chickens, but chickens breed with each other and you still get chickens. So there is a chicken kind. The concept is fairly easy to understand. Animals can and do change through selective breeding or even natural arrangements that favor a certain result, but only so far as God's design allows. Therefore, that then answers the oft posed question as to how did Noah's Ark carry millions of "species". It didn't. It carried all of the different kinds that have within their own DNA to change into the variations that are now observed. Hence, the ark need only have carried a male and female wolf in order to, by definition, carry thousands of different "dog types".

The more that is known about DNA the more people should be getting down on their knees and confessing faith in the God that created everything.

God is all powerful in completing His will on this earth.
God is a CREATOR (Jesus is Creator) not someone who sits, waits for possible problems to
crop up.

And those millions of kids starving do belong to Allah, btw, and what is Allah doing,
what are MUSLIMS doing? Nothing.

There IS a will of God, and I work to be in it.

The reason is those people do not really understand God.

Such as, if god is all powerful, could god not have created evolution?

- The problem with that is, fundies think they are as intelligent as god and since they cannot understand evolution, they believe god couldn't either so he could not have used evolution as a means of propagating species.
