If monsters invaded, what would they want?

Hey all, I've just recently started planning a short story centring around a monster invasion. Nothing too serious, just a little fun. I was hoping you all could spare some ideas of what an invasion of monsters would want from us or the world. Thanks folks.

Why would you write a story about a monster invasion and not know why there're doing it? That makes no sense.

If they're small monsters, I suppose they'd want to steal our cars, and eat junk food.
