TRANSFERING TO AN OUT OF STATE UNIVERSITY WITH CHSPE?

Hi, I'm taking the exam in the june. Assuming I pass, I will enter community college to begin my general education. After 2 years, I hope to transfer to a real university. Since I have some experience in college, CHSPE takers say they won't even look at my high school transcript. Does that mean I can apply to an out of state university as a transfer?

Sure, the CHSPE is the legal equivalent of a high school diploma, and you can apply to any college as a transfer once you have the required college units. Colleges may not look at your high school transcripts, but they will look at your graduation status, and the CHSPE should be acceptable, since it's recognized by the US Dept of Ed. However, you'll still have to pay out-of-state tuition fees. Be sure to make sure that any units you take will be transferable to the college of your choice.
