An equilateral triangle can easily be turned into a square. so cut it down the middle (the altitude) and put the two halves together to create a square.

by doing this you are cutting the base of the triangle in half (30/2 =15) therefore, since all of the sides are the same, each side is now 15m, including your original altitude.
