Physics Question? Kinetic Energy?
You are in the supermarket, pushing a cart with a force of 64 Newtons in the horizontal direction. There is a constant force of kinetic friction operating on the cart of 11.8 Newtons.
Calculate the net work done on the cart, if the cart is displaced 5.2 metres in a straight line.
回答 (2)
Net force acting on the cart, F = 64 - 11.8 = 52.2 N
Displacement of the cart, s = 5.2 m
Net work done on the cart = F s = 52.2 × 5.2 = 271 J
total work Ft = Force times the displacement = 64*5.2 = 332.80 joule
net work Fn = Ft-Ff*s = 332.80-11.8*5.2 = 271.44 N
Given info do not allow to say something else, such as cart mass and friction, if any ....
