(x/2) + (y/3) = 2 ...... [1]
x + 2y = 8 ...... [2]
From [1] :
(3x/6) + (2y/6) = 2
(3x + 2y)/6 = 2
3x + 2y = 12 ...... [3]
[2] * 3 :
3x + 6y = 24 ...... [4]
[4] - [3] :
4y = 12
y = 3
Put y = 3 into [1] :
x + 2(3) = 8
x = 2
Hence, x = 2 and y = 3
x + 2y = 8 ...... [2]
From [1] :

(3x + 2y)/6 = 2
3x + 2y = 12 ...... [3]
[2] * 3 :
