What is the sum of the sum of the stoichiometric reaction coefficients in the balanced total ionic equation for the reaction of calcium hydroxide with hydrobromic acid, HBr? I get a total of 11 but it says it is wrong.

For this one to:KOH(aq) + H3PO3(aq) → K3PO3(aq) + H2O(l). I get a total of 17 but it is also wrong.

The total ionic equation for the reaction of calcium hydroxide with hydrobromic acid :
Ca(OH)₂ + 2HBr → CaBr₂ + 2H₂O
The sum of stoichiometric reaction coefficients = 1 + 2 + 1 + 2 = 6

The balanced second equation is :
3KOH + H₃PO₃ → K₃PO₃ + 3H₂O
The sum of stoichiometric reaction coefficients = 3 + 1 + 1 + 3 = 8
