Take downward quantities as positive.

Mass of the person, m = (0.8×1000)/0.8 = 800/9.8 kg
Acceleration, a = 2.8 m/s²

F = ma
Net force acting on the person, F = (800/9.8) × 2.8 = 230 N = 0.23 N

Net force = Weight - (Force of the elevator floor on the person)

Magnitude of the force of the elevator floor on the person = 0.8 - 0.23 = 0.57 kN

(800/g) x (g - 2.8) = 571.428N., or 0.57 kN.

mg - ma where g = 9.8 m/s^2 and a = the acceleration of the elevator
