Im from australia, on my P plates, and i had a friend, a girl visit from the US over the christmas period. i got caught going 28km over in a tunnel, but the camera cant see whos driving the car, i already got 2 speeding fines for stupid speeds, like 6km over and 8km over. so i only have 1 point left. Will blaming this on someone in the US get them into trouble? or will they simply just wont care?

Okay. Here's the thing. To get a camera fine changed, a statutory declaration must be signed stating that you were not the driver and that your friend was. If your friend has gone back to the US, you have none and buckley's chance of getting that stat dec.

As well as that, you stupid little brat, you need to put on your big kid panties and start taking responsibility for your actions! The only reason a speeding fine is "stupid" is that YOU KEEP GETTING THEM and you clearly seem to think the law doesn't apply to you! 28km/h over would likely have lost you your licence regardless.

Own up to your damn mistakes and stop blaming other people. You should've learned your lesson the first time. You'll still have to pay the fines.

no dumbass you'll be the one who will get into trouble because it was your car that got recorded simply blaming it on someone else won't get you out of a fine becuase it's your car your name on the papers .also you must not be a very decent person if you drive fast a lot no regarded for human life 2 stupid speeds already seriously and now another speed it's drivers like you that should get their drivers licence taken away theirs speed limits for a reason

She will get sent the ticket in the US.
She will say not her.
It will remain on her file if not paid and she will be picked up on her next visit.
You will need to show she was insured on the car.
Getting caught trying to lie about the ticket will be more serious.
You have not taken the hint and slowed down. Now you get a chance to think about it while sitting on the bus.

They won't care.

You'll make this claim, won't be able to prove it, and then you'll still end up with the fine on your record.

Lets put it this way. The Judge is going to want her name and e mail. He is going to send her a e mail, Possible to call her also. She is going to say no I was not driving. Now it is her word against yours there. If no other proof the Judge may dismiss it. Maybe not with your record. As you said your friend so the Judge will not believe you can not contact her. Only way this works once. Is if you get a ticket. Then use your out of country drivers permit. Then never go back to that Country as you have a warrant out for you.
