Do you regret your meaningless tattoos?

The ones you got just because they were aesthetically pleasing. I'm thinking of getting one, but I want to know how much chance I have of hating it a few years down the road (I tend to think statistically).

Are there good-looking tattoos that you covered up because you started getting sick of their emptiness? Do you tend to like your meaningful tattoos more than your other ones? Do you tire more quickly of the tattoos with meaning or without meaning? Do you tire of any of your tattoos at all?

Thank you in advance for taking the time to answer!

Being tattoos are art, each person shall interpret them differently. I have many tattoos ( so many I don't have an actual count) and I regret none of them. I have never covered one and never will. Each is a piece of art that I worked to create. Some have deep meanings others are just appealing but none are regretted.

No, tattoos don't have to have meanings and I love mine. If you want it go for it, but be sure you like the design and will be happy with it when you are older.

You might get a tattoo of something and then in a couple of months/years you'll discover that it means something horrible

Tattoos are an expression of your heart and soul. That means there are no meaningless tattoos, just tattoos that their meanings come to you later after you have them. That's why very few people ever regret their tattoos. Ideally take the time to meditate on your tattoo, why you need it and what it means and you will never regret any tattoo! Remember tattooing is a process, let the process work for you. It might take a month or a year but let it flower inside you first before tattooing it on your skin.
