Hello , I m 20 in a comited relationship and have known for 7 years I do not want children. My partner and I have chosen we do not want kids we are both VARY firm on this ( please don t try and change my mind) . Unfortunately doctors won t give me atubal ligation or hysterectomy until I m 30 or have 2 kids . I m looking for old fashion grandmothers tricks to keep me barren ? Any one out there know an old wives tail /home remedy for not getting pregnant?
Stab your ovaries with an ice pick ? or a cordless drill maybe ?
Short of something like that you are probably stuck with conventional contraceptives .
Edit : You know you could go to Mexico or India to get your tubes tied , right ?
參考: Just a FYI , You don't want a hysterectomy . The loss of all those plumbing and incubating components will screw up your hormones terribly .
No. But I used an IUD and it was 100% effective without dumping tons of chemicals into my body. It is a less invasive surgery for men to get snipped.
Don't have sex. If you do use birth control or Plan B.
Wives tales don't work. He could get a vasectomy, or you need to stick to birth control.
As for the atubal ligation or hysterectomy, doctors typically don't want to, but they will. Same with vasectomy. I told the doctor the truth, but said that if he didn't agree to do it, I would just tell the next doctor that I had 5 kids. He agreed. You don't need to be honest with them. Tell them you have 2 kids.
we do live in the 21st century not the dark ages, so just go see a doctor and get prescribed for the birth control measures
Investigate planned parenthood clinics in other states. In a large municipality, it shouldn't be too hard to find a doctor that will do a tubal ligation for you. Congratulations on making the responsible decision to remain childless.
There are no "home remedies" that will prevent pregnancy. Just about the only way of rendering you sterile at your age is with the use of an IUD. Depending upon which type of IUD you choose, one of those will render you temporarily "sterile" for 10 years. At the end of 10 years, you will be old enough to have an elective tubal ligation. Do NOT choose to have a hysterectomy instead - you don't need that kind of extensive surgery.
OR, your husband could choose to have a vasectomy right now. That is a very simple operation, when compared to a tubal ligation or a hysterectomy for a woman. Either of those, for a woman, will involve an abdominal incision -- a vasectomy does not.

Use the birth control pill until you are 28 or so. KEEP RECORDS of every birth control prescription. Take the tall stack of paper birth control prescriptions to a doctor, hand the stack of scripts to him and tell him you are tired of taking pills...
Unless you make it a point to never have unprotected sex except during those 3-4 days prior to and 3-4 days after a period, you need some sort of birth control. Maybe it best if you try an IUD that is really effective. Ask your doctor and make sure he doesn't recommend any of the ones that women are having problems with lately.
I just read an article about women who decide not to have children and how they are not understood by their friends, family or coworkers.
The IUD is a good idea. You may not even have a period when using this. Women in ages past actually had a gold nugget inserted to prevent pregnancy. I don't think you should do this at home, however. Switch to another GYN and ask for an IUD.
Oh my god. Please do not look up wives tales! i had a friend who looked up this for home abortions. The doctor will not do it because your 20 and you are still young. When i was 16 i was adiment id never have kids. I had a boyfriend when i was a bit older and the same. But now im 22 and i have a beautiful little girl. Just because you feel so strong about something now doesnt mean your mind wont change. Nobody wants to change your mind but please do not do anything to your own body. As you may damage yourself in ways that are not reverseble. Just go on the implant, or a Birth control that suits you!
If you want to be sterile, it's your choice and yours alone. However, there isn't any safe form of rendering yours,Ed barren without an operation. (Sorry! D:) In the meantime, you can try the pill, or other birth control (warning, these are generally only 99 percent effective) or abstain from sex. Sorry agian.
You're only 20. Not trying to be condescending but at 20 you have all the time in the world to end up changing your mind. Get an IUD. The copper one lasts 10 years. That's enough time to make sure your mind is made up and you'll be old enough to get your tubes tied. A doctor won't do a hysterectomy just to sterilize you. It's not a simple surgery and it's normally only done for good reason.
