4.
Let n be the number of adults when there are 42 children.

1 : 6 = n : 42
6n = 1 × 42
6n = 42
n = 7

Number of adults = 7

5.
CA/EF = 12/30 = 2/5
CB/ED = 24/60 = 2/5
Thus, CA/EF = CB/ED
∠C = ∠E (given)

ΔABC ~ ΔFDE (AAA)
similarity ratio = 2 : 5

5. the triangles are similar by: SAS proportionality theorem
{two corresponding sides are proportional with the included angle congruent)

the ratio of similarity (smaller to larger) is: 12/30 = 2/5

Problem #4 is too easy to need help...you can divide, right !!

4)
Adult to Children = 1:6
A/ C = 1/6
6A = C
C = 42
6A=42
A = 7 adults

5)
12/30 = 24/60 (if they are similar)
24/60=2/5
12/30 = 2/5
Since the included angles are equal, the third side is also is in
proportion.
Since the corresponding sides are in proportion, the two trianges
are similar. Similarity ratio = 2:5
