God speaks to us through His spirit - Christ is our advocate to the Father and the Holy Spirit testifies of truth. We are all entitled to personal revelation and that revelation comes in personal ways to each of us. But God (the Father) does not deal directly with man - He delegates! :)

Closest I've experienced is God laughing at me. God, of course, has spokespeople whom I've judged reliable. There is two way communication established personally as far as I'm concerned.

I assume you mean the Christian god? Even if that god existed, according to 'scripture' the bible is complete and will not/can not be added to in any way. That means whatever god was going to say, god already said and will never say anything again. This would imply that anyone who says that god spoke to them is either lying, or not entirely sane.
