baby boomers are taking some of the welfare but is it because of health costs and how does it specifically hurt younger generations? Isn't there a lot of social security continuously being funded from tax??

welfare does not come from social security taxes

First of all social security isn't welfare; perhaps you are confusing the social security program with the SSI program which IS a welfare program. Baby boomers who receive social security paid their social security taxes for probably about 40 years before getting it. Many baby boomers still work and continue to pay into the social security program through the payment of social security taxes. The oldest of the baby boomers became age 70 in January 2016; the youngest of them will be 52 this year.

That's how social security works - people who work and pay social security taxes fund the program. Guess I don't understand what your question is.

Welfare is assistance from the county welfare offices plus SSI (supplemental security income) which isn't social security. SSI pays benefits to people of limited income/resources who are either disabled or over age 64 - the maximum SSI benefit is $733 a month and the amount of the benefit is reduced by the receipt of any other income.

Welfare is supported by general tax revenues - not social security taxes.

What you're talking about is bullshit put about by the far right. How much of a coincidence is it that this subject is a talking point in every western democracy. I reckon its been orchestrated by corporates and rich pricks who simply don't want to pay their fair share of taxes.
