Don't you think the sudden blow of activity of searching for life is fishy?

I don't know always have a gut feeling that the government is hiding big things. Look at the 20th century they say "aliens don't exist" now they are searching for earth like planet and life. You might think they just want to search for life... But what if I tell you they are here. They are on this earth... They are above this earth. Some have technology we call cloud ships they cloak their ships as clouds. Still skeptical let me answer you're question you have of aliens and of their crafts.

They are finding more exoplanets because the technology has only recently become available. If you'd rather believe that everyone is lying to you and rely only on what your physical eyes, ears, and "gut" tell you, your theories will only have credibility with other crack pots.

Are you aware that government funding for SETI was stopped in the 1980s? All funding is now private.

Are you aware that the Viking Lander life detector experiment went wild with positive results but because these results were questioned, NASA no longer directly looks for life on Mars?

It is as simple as this: humans want to search for life in the Universe. Governments, particularly the American Congress, do not want to be bothered.

Techniques for searching for exoplanets as well as alien intelligence (radio in particular) has advanced exponentially in the past 20 years.

The most optimistic result of the Drake Equation, that 10,000 intelligent civilizations may exist in the Milky Way, dictates that 10 million stars need to be checked and monitored. We are not even remotely near that number.

SETI has existed since at least 1899, when Tesla sought to detect radio signals from Mars. Telescopes were used to look for light signals prior to that.

The only certain thing about the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence is the chance of detection is about zero if we don't try.

As for any evidence Aliens have ever visited the Earth- absolutely none.

First, NOBODY ever said aliens do not exist.
Next, the search for ET has been going on for the better part of 60 years.
There is no "sudden search" going on.
History is out there for a reason.

The premise starts on the "firm" assumption that there are Aliens (not just Life, which notion precedes it by several hundred light years). How can one be even 1% of 1% sure of it? None questions that.
Most opinions on this argument - pros & cons - are not even "half-baked" that is something respectable. None of them are Science based. It is all a series of unreasonable "jumpings to the conclusions", each more hazardous than its predecessor.
So your whole subject evaporates into thin air, as per me. This belief (of yours) has acquired the propensity of Religious beliefs, which don't die. Nothing to hold an opinion about nor to comment on.

Powerful argument. Not.

Ever since Area 41 and the Battle of Los Angeles there has always been something fishy.
People come up with the most idiotic conspiracy theories, but in all seriousness the Science used has come forward by leaps and bounds.
SETI is looking for any sign of an intelligent signal, and special techniques for telescopes are finding the presence of more than 1,000 exoplanets so far.
There is nothing wrong with doing it, what if we actually did achieve Contact?
There would be nothing to be gained by any Government by denying it, they might need us all in an effort to repel an evil entity

The space program looking for planets is not looking for life, it is looking for planets around other stars, which we had no evidence of before recently. And they are so far away that aliens are not already here on earth. Get a life.

Sudden?, ..., we've been searching for a while. As soon as the telescope was invented we've been speculating about the existence of life outside the earth ... and before that ancient man thought of it knew there was life outside the Earht because that was the Realm of the gods.

So, mans desire to find life outside of Earth is not sudden at all.

Chances are that any intelligent aliens are so far away they they will never meet us and we will never meet them. All the waffle of aliens visiting earth since 1947 is based on illusions, fraud and guesswork of the worst kind.

We haven't searched the universe for life, so nobody is saying "aliens don't exist", although we don't know of any per se.

The catch is that apart from searching nearby planets for life- which we've done- it would be nearly impossible to prove life does or does not exist on other planets short of picking up transmissions from them, which is unlikely. Governments are unwilling to spend much money on something like this, and while there is some private funding, nobody is seriously expecting to discover life any time soon.

As for your whole "what if I tell you they are here above us" stuff- if this is the case, please present your evidence for this so we can see it for ourselves.

No, we have been searching for life for decades. We just started finding lots of exoplanets because we just got the technology to find exoplanets.

"Some have technology we call cloud ships..."
...or as the rest of us call them, "clouds".

Okay. How do cloud ships work? And why hide?
