>Step 1: Get her alone, away from her friends. Usually us girls will look to our friends for their opinion on the guy, and if they don't like you, she might say no. I know it's shallow but it happens, often -_-
>Step 2: Speak "Hi (The Girl's Name), (if she doesn't know you, say "I'm Nikolas." after that) I like you, and I was wondering if you would like to go to the dance with me?"
>Step 3: DONE, you asked her, case closed.

Extra Steps
>Step 3.1: Wait/prepare for her response.
>Step 3.2.1: If she says no, then you polity say "Thank you for your time, (The Girl's Name)" and walk away with your head held high because you just accomplished something you're past self hasn't, ask a girl to a dance.
>Step 3.2.2: If she says yes, HORRAY!!! Trumpets playing, choir singing, doves flying off into the sky you did it!!!

well if your not too shy maybe you can see when she is alone and ask her if she wants to go to the dance with you. it just takes courage and learning to relax, remember girls are normal just like you are so don't get too nervous.

PLEASE know, unless you are incredible ugly, stinky and mean, ANY GIRL WOULD BE HAPPY TO HAVE A BOY ASK THEM TO DANCE ESPECIALLY SHY GIRLS.
Doesn't matter how they respond on the outside, inside they ARE DEFINITELY happy a boy asked them.
