Is it normal to be sad for no reason?

Every day since I had a really bad day.. I've been sad ever since and my mom passed about 9 months ago and that still gets to me. And I'll go do something fun like shopping then it will feel like something is missing. I just feel sad all the time, every little thing gets me I just want to break down and cry. I don't understand what's wrong with me. I don't even have a reason to be sad anymore. I'm just sad.

I am not shocked that you still feel sad. There is no time limit for how long you can grieve the loss of someone. I don't know what your relationship with your mom was like but even if you didn't have a good one, it's still sad to lose a parent. Don't let anyone make you feel like you should be over it by now. On the other hand, I would suggest looking for some support either from family members or outside of family. Sometimes when people get "stuck" while they are grieving and need support getting through it.

Emptiness and loss are normal after a death.
find big HAPPY churches, attend some youth groups there and have fun. Talk with the pastor/minister or the youth pastor/leader. They have more wisdom than you and I. And where else can you get FREE counseling?

Troubled people need peace; a good pastor can show you how to have perfect peace. God loves you more than you can possibly imagine :)
