Is it legal for a teacher to ask what my religion is?
Not if they push it against you, just ask you

Its not illegal, but usually they are not supposed to ask. Same with your political stands.
Yes, and it is legal for you to refuse to answer if you don't want to.
It's not illegal for anyone to ask you anything - that's what freedom of speech means. In the case of asking your religion, what would be illegal would be for your teacher to discriminate against you based on your religion. And just because he asks your religion doesn't mean you have to tell him.
Yes, of course!

Yes it is legal, it is also legal for you to refuse to tell them
Never answer a Teacher with any Personal information, beyond your name.
They will use it against you.
Do not even give them your telephone number or address information, if it is needed they can get it from the Office if it legal.

Individual school districts are generally bound by their own legal codes. Contact the local district office for the most reliable information.
I'm guessing that it's not legal.
dont answer.
ask them,
whats' you need to know that abt me?
that's very personal
No, why would it be? Are you ashamed of your religion that you wouldn't want to tell someone who asks? Did it ever occur to you that your teacher might just be curious? I'm a teacher and I'd be curious. That sort of thing, along with culture and traditions and languages interest me. And I can talk about a variety of things. I'm a Catholic and sat at a library table with a kid who is a Muslim and could tell that he was hostile toward those who were not--and women. But I got him to talk about being a Muslim through the book he had and asked him if he had ever gone on a Pilgrimage to Mecca and whether or not he'd been to the Kaaba. He was surprised that I knew what it was and that I was MERELY ASKING THE QUESTION BECAUSE I WAS CURIOUS. And so he talked about it. It was interesting. Why do you have to make it out to be something bad?
Of course dear, but you don't have to say anything if you don't want to. Or you could say that you have faith in God.
However it is illegal for a teacher to be prejudiced against you for your religion, as outlined by the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights (section 2 and 18).
