Do you regularly remember people who have helped you? Has anyone ever saved your life, or helped you very significantly?

Aged 13, I went on a school trip to Romania. One day, us school children were playing in the sea. The sea was quite rough. But it came as a surprise to me when I realised that a) my feet were dangerously close to coming off the ground b) the sea was pushing out to sea about 1.5 times the amount it was pulling me in with each wave. Just as my feet was about to lose contact, I shouted "help". Thankfully a teacher - a Romanian man - was standing quite near and he put his hand out for me. He pulled me in a bit. He said "I found myself in a similar position myself a moment ago". In a state of adrenaline followed by extreme exhaustion, I made my way back to the shore. He had saved my life. Today, I've been reflecting on how, as a spiritual practise, I can remember this man and his extremely kind deed towards me.

Three times, three different people tried to kidnap me, but I beat the odds each time. I ran really fast so I rescued myself. On the other hand, I was the one who did not panic in the office I first worked in, when a man had a heart attack and they had him laid out on the carpet. No one even bothered to call the paramedics, and so I did. I was quite young at the time, and this was my first real full time job. You would have thought the adults or the people on charge would have known enough to do that.....
