How do you plan for wedding photoshoot in Paris?

I'm getting married later this year, and my fiancee and I (both live in New York City) would like to get our wedding photoshoot done in Paris. I'm not sure how to do this. Should I hire my own photographer in NYC and have him/her to travel with us to Paris (of course, paying his/her travel expenses)? I'm not sure if hiring a photographer from Paris in advance over the phone would be an option since I don't know who I'm dealing with. How do people do this kind of out-of-country photoshoot? Please share with me your experience.

Probably indeed hire a phot at your end and fly him/her to Paris. Quite an expensive photoshoot!

I think you sould hire a local photographer and fly her/him to Paris. This would make the most sense in terms of keeping in contact with the photographer, especially if things go wrong.
