I'm buying a iPod touch fourth generation but the main reason why I'm buying is to get kik does it have kik

It looks like it can. Kik requires iOS 6 or higher, and the iPod touch 4 supports up to iOS 6.1.6.
Now, in the future, they may update the app, and it might require a new iOS that your iPod doesn't support. It probably won't be much of a problem, but if they update their complete service, you might not be able to use the app anymore. Just as a caution.
