I have thought about this for many years and these are my conclusions to date....based on deductive reasoning and statistical analysis.
When I die, I'm absolutely certain one of two things will happen 1) absolute oblivion or 2) I don't know.
However, being a rational person.....who has a fear of death and wants to believe in God, I did a statistical analysis of my life and found that beyond the influence of chance, I am alive and well. I am convinced that there is an intelligence that is kind, that has interceded in my life many, many times over. I've tried to debunk this believe by taking into account my very subjective overview....however, the evidence in my own life proved to me the existence of something greater than myself. I have studied Carl Jung's Synchronicity and realized how much it's been working for me.
Now, for an afterlife......now that I believe in a Greater Intelligence, it makes more sense to me that I would exist after physical death in some form.
I realize the chemical and electrical make-up of my physical body, yet that doesn't stop me from looking up to the stars on a frosty night and being in total awe.....and realizing I"m in total awe (That's the "Key" here).
So for an afterlife, yes......I just don't know in what form.

For one, why would you listen to anyone who tells you were you are going to when die? You could ask, have you ever been dead? No, then it would be safe to assume that the person hasn't clue of what they are talking about. It's all speculation. The bible is also not a good source for anything other than false promises and exagerated claims. Unfortunately the only way to find out is to die. I have yet met or heard of anyone who has died ( I mean really died for more than a few minutes on a operating table) and came back to say yes there is an after life. Maybe there is and maybe not. I try to concern myself with living life to the fullest and enjoying my life and making a contribution to life that helps others . Just trying to be a good person and to love my wife.and family. I'll worry about death when the time comes but for now, I am in no hurry.

Is there a "AFTERLIFE" ? Yes or No ?

When is the Time to accept something as True or real ? When it has been demonstrated and confirmed .

what are the levels of CERTAINTY ? Possible Probable and fact

AFTERLIFE defined as a CONCEPT ( abstract idea or general notion ) of a Realm ( region of activity knowledge or influence ) where a individuals identity or consciousness continues to exist after the death of the body

Word THERE defined as # 1 IN AT or TO that place or position # 2 calling attention to someone or something # 3 Used to comfort someone

Now the question is......... IS something used to comfort someone as an abstract idea or notion to influence people to accept ones individual's identity or consciousness continues to exist after the death of the Body

it is call religions and belief systems a idea

IDEA defined as a thought conception or notion a product of mental activity as a suggestion of possible

The Bible speaks of the Dead being concious of nothing at Ecclesiastes9:5. So the dead are in the grave.
However John5:28-29 speaks of a Ressurection of the Righteous and Unrighteous, so in God's due time he will awaken those asleep in death.

Those who are resurrected the bible says will live on the Earth, Psalm37:29
They will live on the Earth under good conditions as brought out at Isaiah 65:21-25.

So regarding an Afterlife, technically yes there will be but not in the sense where people believe the Soul continues on after death. The afterlife will be after the resurrection, righteous people will live on the earth forever under paradisaic conditions.

So you are asking this group on YA is there an afterlife, yes or no? The people who don't want there to be an afterlife will say no. The people who don't want there to be an eternal hell (either because it "doesn't sound fair waah waah" or they fear they are heading there) will say no.

But do you care what God says about "Is there an afterlife?" You should!

Matthew 25:34: Then the King will say to those on his right, Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.

Matthew 25:41: Then he will say to those on his left, Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.

Revelation 14:11: And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.

Is there an afterlife? Do you want to gamble that the Bible is not true, seeing how high the stakes are? Yes or no?

Some (most sadly) might say that we can't know that, but they will gladly say there is no Superman, no BigFoot,no fairies...Based on the general way we treat "reality" we can say with the same certainty that there is no afterlife, because there is the exact same evidence (ZERO) for any afterlife. If we deal with absolutes we can't be sure of anything (and we don't make that disclaimer for everything we claim), so lets not make special rules for Gods and afterlives, simply because of emotional appeal. The bottom line is that there is zero evidence for any afterlife and counter evidence against it,if you are honest with what life really is. Life is temporary and we have never seen anything live again.
