Do you thinks it s acceptable for a man to continue a relationship with people who treat his wife poorly?

If a family member treats my wife badly, they are also treating me badly. She's part of the package and if they can't or won't see it then I have no time for them.

I'm sure those same family members have been treating loads of people poorly for years. You aren't their only victim.

And if your husband's family members treat you poorly, maybe it's time to open up and politely ask them what the issue is, and how you can work on changing things. It's worth a try. They will either be nice about it, or crappy. Either way, you will have had the satisfaction of trying to make things better.

I'm sure you didn't do anything... and i'm sure your husband already knows he comes from a long line of assholes..

They are your family, so you need to negotiate the situation. Tell them how you feel, and the consequences for treating your wife poorly. If they continue to treat her poorly, follow through and enforce the consequences. If they really love you, they will stop.

Well--it seems like some of the family doesn't like you for a reason. Until the truth comes out, try to live in peace with your husband.

Were they treating you poorly before you married him? A husband should never allow anyone to disrespect his wife, HOWEVER, why didn't you weed through the issues prior to marrying him? Chances are you're not much of a victim.

I don;t think so, but most men would continue the relationship, especially if the people were part of his family.

If he keeps them apart....but he should make it clear he won't take criticism of his wife from them.

They are probably jealous....feel she's taken their friend away.....very childish.

Perhaps a very minimal relationship would be ok, but I think he should distance himself from them.
