Relatively the same as Americans or other Europeans... people have personalities that tend to outshine their national identity. That being said, English people tend to be quieter, follow rules strictly, and keep to themselves. For example, it is not often that an Englishman would smile and strike up a conversation with a stranger unless they are in a social situation already.

Women wear hats frequently specially when they go to church.

They're like Americans, with a different sense of humor, and they add u to some of their languages like humour.

Watch Downton Abbey, a great example of the 1920's British. Watch MASTERPIECES on PBS. I love watching anything BRITISH!
