I was thinking of calling my local news channel and asking to use their set?

I have a project to do where I have to create a news report. I know its crazy. But should I give it a shot my calling them? opinions?

They'll say no most likely, but if you have a local community access tv station near you, they will say yes and show you how it's done. Volunteer some time there--it's worth it.

Do you have a Local Access Channel? The one where I live LOVES to help with projects like this. I know a few people that got decent jobs after working at the Channel. (One guy has 2 Emmys and we talk about how he got his start.
I wouldn't go to a "Network" channel as they are too "Commercialized" and would probably charge for it.
