Famous people aren't dying at a markedly faster rate than they have in the past, but public awareness has risen exponentially, making it seem like they are.

Nothing new. It's just that now, with the internet, news of deaths goes out further and faster, than before the 'net. Even 30 years ago, one could only learn about celeb deaths by subscribing to a magazine, newspaper, or hearing about it, if it made the radio or TV news.

For every one of these so-called 'great people' who have died lately, there are hundreds if not thousands of ordinary/unknown people who have also died within the same period. Fact is none of these well-known (as opposed to great!) people will live forever and they are just reaching their sell-by. There are only two certainties in this life - taxes and death.

We are told in the Bible that a man may live for three score and ten years - that's seventy in plain English - I'm now 74 and past my sell-by-date, but still working occasionally and okay so far.

Here in UK we have a vast army of folk way into their 70s 80s and 90s in fact there are more of us over 65 than under 16.

In truth, the pop of UK is not dying off or any such - it is in fact living on as this will explain.

Unfortunately because after the age of 60 the human body gradually loses its ability to self-repair and fight off cancer efficiently enough. It is also mid-Winter, the time of maximum stress. There is also hubris here because no matter how famous you are and how much money you have, you are far from immortal. The biblical 'three score years and ten' is about how long people in a peaceful civilized society could expect to live, with anything beyond that being a bonus. Before civilization your teeth would have worn out by the time you go to 35 and that would have been the end of you.

Every year some of the greats die. It is the way of things. It seems that all of my favorites have passed away and Alan Rickman was one of them. And last year, Jimmy Garner. I've watched him all of my life and am still watching him every morning. Alan Rickman was such a good bad guy. I think it is harder to play a bad guy than a good guy. He was so great in Die Hard.

I was growing up during when the above were starting out and making a name for themselves. It make me feel old and how much time has passed since then.
Playing a bad guy or not being typecast as fill in the blank, after a break out role is a major achievement for any actor or even signer. David Bowie was very flexible in his singing style. even back in the 1960's. He never was typecast into one type of song style. He also produced many of his music videos, like China Girl and Blue Jean.
David Bowie kept the public guessing in his songs he wrote, and how he would sing them.

So you have a chance to replace them. If YOU are good enough :)

But some will tell you story like this one which is normal:

SADLY IT SEEMS that cancer is rising alarmenly ,I am amazed at this announcement because of the millions world wide being pumped into the discovery of a cure ?then there is the disturbing story going around that they do have a cure for cancer, but the drug companies do not want to put them on the market as they would lose billions,by doing this by the loss of supporting drugs they already make for slowing down the disease,if this turns out to be true I wish they all get cancer through greed, the bar**ards ok.
