Those wishing to immigrate already have their identity and criminal records checked. You can't just get on a plane and then live in the UK forever - that's what visas are for.

Great Britain's coastline in 19,491 miles long. How do you plan to police it? Banning legal immigration would mean that only criminals would get in.
