Can I still study abroad?

I m in college (U.S.A) and my school has a study abroad trip in China for the summer. This specific trip goes along with my major and I already express interest in the program to professor who is in charge of this trip and started raising money from donations as well as writing scholarship essays but now it turns out I may have to transfer schools after this semester. Will I still be able to do the study abroad? Should I tell the professor in charge that i maybe transferring or should I keep it to myself. Since I already started collecting donations I dont want to not go and look like I lied. Even though I would return everyone s money if i try to study abroad at my next school no one will donate again. If it was you would you still go?

If this study abroad programme is through your current school, then it's unlikely you'd be able to do it if you moved schools.

Obviously the only way you could confirm is by asking your school.
