I was on a cruise when I took this photo in NYC do you think I'm good at taking pictures?

I like the idea of the black buildings but the composition is not great. The tallest building is essentially in the middle, it is quite fuzzy, the blocky building on the right edge kind of dominates.

BUT, the foundation is there. You had an idea of why this picture could be good and that still holds true (the crane in the pic means something). On a cruise you are very limited as to where you can position yourself to take the picture. Think about what you would have done differently if you weren't on a cruise,

Frankly it's not a good pic. You should take it from the direction from where lights are on the target. May be your camera was not that good. Keep trying :)

Interesting, but very hard to look at. {And, sorry, but most tourist pictures are just a matter of where you are, the scenery in front of you, and the weather and amount of daylight.} But you do have a good memory of your cruise, and that is what counts.
