Is he neutered? If not, that's the problem. If he is neutered, do you faithfully scoop the box twice a day without fail? Cats do not like a dirty toilet any more than we humans do. If the box is clean, and he's neutered, then get him in to the vet to be tested for a urinary tract infection. Other than a dirty box, that's the most common reason for house soiling. In the meantime, keep the door to your daughter's room closed.
