Is he neutered? If not, that's the problem. If he is neutered, do you faithfully scoop the box twice a day without fail? Cats do not like a dirty toilet any more than we humans do. If the box is clean, and he's neutered, then get him in to the vet to be tested for a urinary tract infection. Other than a dirty box, that's the most common reason for house soiling. In the meantime, keep the door to your daughter's room closed.

They got a surgery for that. It's called neutering. He's marking his territory to keep the other boy kitties away (real or imaginary) from the girl kitties. (real or imaginary.) Sometimes neutering helps at this point, other times, it's too late. He may be destined to be an outdoor kitty now. In either case, neuter the poor thing.
