Is sink water safe to drink?

why wouldn't it be okay? Is there something wrong with your cousins?
Tap water is used in cooking, brushing your teeth, etc..if there was something wrong with it, you would know by now.
the ONLY people who think something is wrong with tap water(in civilized countries) are the people selling you bottled water.

Been drinking "sink" water over 70 years now, i am still alive and kicking. All city and town water supplies to meet Federal standards for safe drinking

Bottled water has only one advantage over tap water - it makes obscene amounts of money for its suppliers. The water from your tap will be quite safe, taste perfectly fine and cost you next to nothing.

All water in your house comes from the same place and it is all safe to drink. However, if the local water is hard and your house has a water softener then the softened water is not good to drink: it has too much sodium. Sodium causes heart attacks. So then you either get a separate faucet for drinking and cooking or you buy bottled water.

In the USA, tap water has to pass much more rigorous standards than bottled water does. It is only in underdeveloped countries that you should even consider bottled water and even there, you should read the label carefully. I've seen some that would not even be considered potable by WHO standards and those are the most lax I have seen.

Where do you live? I live in Morocco and tap water is better than American bottled water here in Casablanca no kidding.
