Cash disappearance. What are the odds?
What are the chances that electronic forms of payment will fully replace money in its physical form? Is cash disappearance possible? What do you think about bitcoin and its role in the economy of the future?

I used to think we'd always need cash for parking meters and vending machines, but even those now take credit cards. So yeah, maybe we could eventually get to a place where cash no longer even exists.
It seems a little scary to have EVERY transaction, no matter what, recorded and trackable and part of a govt. database. So nothing is 'under the table'. I think most people wouldn't worry about it at first, but many would regret it later.
Not sure about Bitcoin, but if it got big enough maybe it would have an influence in the economy.
Cash is the currency of a state in a tangible form. Cash is money (coins or bank notes) which are in free circulation amongst the general population and are used in the trading of goods and services. The issuance of currency is for the most part executed by central banks and the Treasury. In states where there is a developed market economy, the share of cash accounts for 3 to 8% of all payments.
