Are these eggs bad?

So me, my mom and my sister went to visit family for 2 weeks over christmas. we just got back and my mom made me eggs that were in the fridge. I'm scared to eat them but I'm really hungry and she said she's not making me anything else. She said she bought them before we left but I'm still scared... She said she wouldn't give me anything that would get me sick but I'm too paranoid.

Eggs last in the fridge for months. Eggs that have gone bad reek. You'll be fine to eat the eggs.

Eggs last a long time. I have used them several weeks after their expiration date. One rule of thumb is to put a raw egg in a small pan or cup of water. If it floats totally to the top, pitch it. If it sinks to the bottom or bobs up and down from bottom to top, they are fine to eat.

An egg that's bad is 100% totally unmistakeable the moment you crack it. A bad egg STINKS. Bad!!!!!
Eggs will keep for weeks with no problem. There's no need to keep them in the fridge.
You can test eggs by putting them in a jug of water. If it sinks it's fresh. If it sort of lifts the blunt end up it's not so fresh. If it floats it's older. That doesn't mean it's bad, but fresh eggs don't make good hard boiled eggs (hard to peel) and old eggs don't make for good fried eggs (runny white).

參考: I used to keep chickens and sometimes I'd find a clutch of eggs where the girls had been laying somewhere |I didn't know. Some of those eggs were weeks old. They were still fine to eat. In all the time I kept chickens I only ever got 2 or 3 "bad" eggs.

Eggs can last for a couple of months in the fridge. I don't think you have anything to worry about

I am a certified chef. You are correct about putting the eggs in water. The gas in bad eggs makes them float. Toss the floaters.

At same time 3 eggs are bad but 1 egg daily is good for health.

The science is this: Fresh eggs sink to the bottom of a glass of water from the weight of the contents. As they age and decompose, more and more gasses form inside the shell, causing the egg to float in the glass.

Eggs sometimes are already old from shipping. There is a big egg farm on Long Island i buy fresh eggs from. I was talking to the farmer and he told me eggs sometimes are a month old in shipping to the mid west.

The eggs are fine.Eggs can last for a couple of months in the fridge.You will be fine to eat the eggs.If they're a few weeks old but still good to eat.if it spoiled eggs stink so bad you would never forget that smell,in your case it does not happen.so you do not worry about it.
