Good date spots in the city that are cheap?

Me and my girlfriend are making our second year together and I want to take her out on a really good date out in the city. I live in New York by the way. Does anybody know any cheap, romantic places to go for a date in NYC? Thank you!

take her to central park and have a romantic picnic....

How about ice skating in Rockefeller Center, and then to a nearby cafe for a hot chocolate? I believe they rent ice skates, and it doesn't matter if you're good or not--it can be romantic holding onto each other.
