I live in a apartment and have some plants at(lime?lemon?) a little balcony. And one day a butterfly passes by and the next day there are a few caterpillars
after they grow one of them is bigger than the others.
usually they move at dawn or evening,
but one night the bigger one just scratches everywhere and it fell off the plant, my mum tries to but it back on the plant but it still move everywhere and still attempt 'suicide.
What's happening? i really want to see it become butterfly.
Sorry for poor english

Caterpillars are not there to amuse you, they are there to eat every leaf off that plant. But to answer your question, the odd caterpillar may have been attacked by a parasitic wasp, an insect that lays it's eggs directly on her prey. After hatching, the larva burrow into the caterpillar and eat it alive.
