I am 13, I am femail, and I am not attracted to penises. Should I be by now? Will I grow into it?

I'm a 20 year old straight female, but I remember when I was about your age too I wasn't sure I was attracted to men and their penises... penises aren't something particularly pretty, you just learn to love them because of what they can do to you. You are attracted to human beings, not their body parts. Being gay or lesbian is more than just a physical relationship between two people of the same gender. When we are at the age you say you are, the thought of sex is a thrilling but scary world. You look at someone, become excited about something in their spirit that enhances your attraction to them. You study your own body, begin to experiment with self-love and that enhances your sexual attraction to the people you like. Your emotions are unstable at this point but will continue to mellow out until you are able to accept exactly what gender or what kinds of people you want a relationship with of any kind. I'm gay, but it isn't because I'm scared or turned off by the female genitalia. I'm gay because my emotional and spiritual connections point me towards men, not women, and adding the sexual excitement into that makes the male genitalia all the more exciting in those moments when intimacy does occur. Certainly, I can be physically attracted to somebody without being emotionally interested in them, but it's more than just the thought of what they are packing.
