Why do so many people in America believe that guns should continue to be allowed? Looking for REAL answers.?

Because guns are NOT the problem. If you make guns illegal then the illegal gun trade will increase, this would make it easier and cheaper to get a gun off the street. Most terrorists dont have legal firearms anyway. Terrorists wouldnt walk into a shop to buy a gun, they would get it illegally.

I do knot know why, but it would be folly to surrender weapons to a government that will not lead by example by surrendering its weapons and whose history, influence, geography, economic power and reputation are directly connected to the use, manufacture, research, design, invention and sells of every weapon imaginable.

Mostly because it's one of the founding principles of the Bill of Rights. As a teenager in rural Oklahoma, I used to throw a shotgun in the car, check out a couple of duck landings, then drive to school. Guns were ordinary common objects that most people owned one or more of. But we were peaceful people, and the idea of using a gun to shoot a human was just not in our ability to conceive. There was a horrible murder of a former classmate when I was in highschool, and she was offed by a baseball bat. No one agitated for tighter control of baseball bats following the incident.
I think crazies and convicted crooks should not be able to buy guns, but it would be a bloody battle if any government entity decided to confiscate all the guns in the U.S. And trying would lead to a losing Constitutional court case.

I believe they should continue to be allowed because without gun we are more prone to subjective and the government will take more control of us knowing we can't defend ourselves
