Its not bad thing if husband help her wife in kitchen or anywhere. I don't mean to should work but if he can then its not consider it self a cheap. Your wife ready foods for your daily morning till night.

You are very lucky. Actually, both of us are lucky. I almost have to ask my husband not to do something, or I'll be left with nothing to do all day. He'll empty the trash and clean the litter box without me asking him <3

A home is made by the efforts of both. So, be it cooking, dusting, arranging furnitures etc. helps both to stay healthy and share work load. Earlier , maybe, men used their muscle power to make women do all household work. but over time women got smarter.....

I do help the wife especially moving the heavy stuff, getting on ladders and crawling under furniture to get those dust bunnies. I do clean the toilets and take out the trashing and more. Never had a it is your job and this is my job.

Self defending man he be? I do a 1/3 of the cooking myself. And we have a maid + wife to cook & clean. Both are Asian. Only way I can have a good American stile meal is to cook it myself.
