What would you do if you won the lottery?

If I won the lottery I would most certainly pay for a college education for myself. I would likely study biology as natures collusion has always peaked my curiosity. The furtive physiology of even the simplest creature is astounding. A simple insect has many tales to tell of it’s ancestry, origins, habitat and more!


I would set up a scholarship with some of the money. I would make sure it caters to the indigent. Neglect and indifference surrounds our low income neighbors. Their suppliance falls on empty ears all too often.


I could make sure my family is well tended to. I would settle all debts and make sure they have enough money to live the rest of their lives in ease. I would pay for food, bills, education and extravagant amenities for everyone. My grandfather would get a maid that he’s always wanted. My mother that shop that sells things of whimsy. My dad that twenty-thousand dollar telescope he’s raved about. Everything will be paid for!

I'd pay off the Yahoo! Answers folks so they would never allow this question again. Anytime the lottery gets way up, this question is asked multiple times a day. It only encourages people to waste even more money on what is truly the worst bet on the planet.

If I won the lottery (a big one), I would do the following:
1. pay off all existing bills and loans.
2. give half of it away to family, friends and charitable organizations.
3. do some traveling, have some fun.
4. after giving half away and after some immediate traveling/fun, I would save at least half of what remains.

Make a small part of the world a better place, Mindy. I would share the wealth.

Open a portal to a parallel universe where monsters live in underground kingdom, throw my enemies in it, leaving them as bait, and go to the Homestuck universe so I can do whatever.

It all depends on the amount.

Hundreds? Go shopping for household items and clothing.
Thousands? I would pay off my car loan.
Hundreds of thousands? I would renovate my house. And give to charity.
Millions? I would build my dream house and help out my family financially. And generously give to charity.

I would go to MyFreeCams and give all my money to a beautiful cam girl. I did that once before with all my money and I have not learned my lesson. If I ever come into some more money, I would for sure do it again.
