有關Present Perfect Continuous Tense 的問題?
我由2010年開始偷錶直至現在,想問問我現在可唔可以講"I have been stealing watches since 2010."
回答 (2)
"steal" is to take somebody else's property secretly, without right, unlawfully:- Someone has stolen my watch.I have had my watch stolen.It is wrong to steal.The morning light was stealing through the window when you have stolen watches for (2015-2010=5 yrs.) to be arrested by the police forces.Why do you steal watches ?
---The present perfect continuous tense :-
---I have been robbed;
---I have been being robbed off;
---(a) I have been robbing off my watches ( by someone) since 2010.
---Contrast this with the usage:-
---(b) I have robbed off watches for 5 yrs.
Example (a) shows that the action of being stolen watches began in the past, has extended up to the present , as in continuation now,and may continue in the future due to my carelessness.
Example (b) does not indicate the possibility of continuation in the future.
eg:-"You've come to confess at last. You have been stealing (watches) for 5 yrs."
In the above example, the Kwong purposely use the present perfect continuous to express impatience.ie;-have been stealing.
