I answered this question, but then because something didn't seem right (a boss would know better than to ask such a stupid question), I thought the better of it and decided to check your Yahoo history.

What is with you? In one question you claim to be in fifth grade, in another one you're having trouble with your 22-yr-old girlfriend, in another one your mom is mad about something that happened at your birthday party, in another one you're worried if your son's grades are good enough to get into college, in another one you're a kid too shy to approach a girl in your English class, etc, etc, etc.

Do you just sit around all day thinking of ridiculous phony scenarios to ask questions about?

Last week you were in the 5Th grade and this week you have employees, nothing like a little lame holiday trolling because middle school is out, Go ask your mommy if this is acceptable Sparky. Grow up dude, have some day you will desire a real live girlfriend, really. Cheers.

If you're "treating" your employees, you should make clear to them that you plan on being cheap before you get to the restaurant. If you want to control what they have, arrange for food to be delivered to your conference room or invite them to your house. You could also arrange the menu ahead of time with the restaurant. If you're only ordering two appetizers, how many people are you inviting?

You can arrange with the restaurant to offer your guests three choices by the Waiter once they're seated. That's how handle a large party.

This is about the worst idea I have seen in a long time. I hope this is a joke. Burger in a steak house - WOW

Absolutely not. If you are going to pay for dinner, they get to order what they want and no dictating their apps, entrees or desserts. If you get alcohol, everyone should have the opportunity to get alcohol. If you don't want to do that, you can order catering and have it brought it to work. That way you could control your expenses and get them a meal.

God your cheap Timothy. If your treating the staff, you don't tell them what to order or drink.

The polite way is to order a set menu for all. Even you eat the same. They serve at your tables once you are there.

Yes.

No but it might have been a good idea to pre arrange a menu if you are concerned about the cost of what they order.

No. That's not OK.

You can if you want to.
