Slightly embarrassed that I'm even asking this.
My dog has shown some repeated body language to me for around 3 weeks now and I am starting to question the reason behind why he does it.
If I go in the bathroom he wouldn't necessarily follow me, however if I go for a wee, he will come straight in and jump on my lap with his front 2 paws. He is a 3 year old Alsatian. He body language seems a little anxious, ears back, he gives me a hug by putting his head on my chest. He has never done this before but has done it every time now for 3 weeks.
I know it's stupid and it probably means nothing, but I am starting to become slightly concerned like he is trying to tell me something, or maybe there is a health issue I don't know about.
I thought it could be that he wanted to be let out for the toilet but the other day he came in from a walk and did it, so it rules that out,
Is he just showing me a bit of love or should I be slightly more concerned about the health of either him or myself?
Sensible responses would be greatly appreciated.
Does my dogs repeated body language mean something or am I going mad?

If you are worried about your health then go for a check up at the Doctors or a Clinic.
Meanwhile....shut the toilet door and don`t allow your dog in there while you are sitting on the loo.
I doubt his actions mean anything more than taking advantage of you in a vulnerable position.

I think he just wants attention. He has observed that you stay there a while & he sees your hands have nothing to do & he just wants to give & get attention. He sounds like a lover. Always wanting attention. Dogs are opportunists & what better opportunity than when your pants are down. Dogs, you gotta just love 'em.

I can pee and poo in front of my two dogs and they respect me and turn away and sit apart from me til Ive finished! They respect me and I admire them for being respectful! In the beginning when I went for a pee or poo, Id tell them to "stay put"! and would order them to do so by a hand signal! If they disobeyed this particular hand signal then Id come on to them with a verbal "aagh no!" then would chase them away!They eventually got the message and now I can pee and poop in front of them with the toilet door open {or even outdoors if need be] and they respectfully wait at a distance til ive done it!
