I have Myopia(Nearsightedness). I can't see far objects clearly. But when reading books or looking something at very near, my vision is clear. Objects away from about 2ft gets blur. so my problem is, since I can see near objects clearly, do I need to wear specs even when I'm reading a book or studying? Do I need to wear it all the day? Can wearing my specs all the day cure myopia?
If you can read OK without your lenses, then it's OK. If you start getting headaches, then you need to wear the lenses.
Myopia is caused by the shape of the eyeball. Wearing glasses will correct the vision problem but will not "cure" myopia. The only way to do that is to modify the natural lens of your eye (e.g. lasik) or, after about age 40, it's not uncommon for the condition to lessen.
If the glasses are too big of a problem, then you might consider contacts. I wore glasses from third grade to about age 39, then I switched to multifocal contacts.
Age will cure your myopia; not wearing glasses. But it is better for your eyes if you wear them most of the time. If you feel more at ease without your glasses when studying then do not wear them
