if you're doing it for the money. stop. we don't need anymore doctors who only care for how much they make. We need people actually passionate about helping others. Choose a place you can raise your family, thats it. Don't worry about money, it will come in any country if you're a doctor.

More, less, and very much less, in that order. Salaries match the standard of living. You don't need much money to live well in Vietnam, so you wouldn't be paid American wages there.

Doctors are NOT paid a salary. They are self-employed. There are no longer enough hospital residency positions in the US for all the Americans who earn their MD degree from US med schools. Even if you earn bachelor's + MD degrees in US, if you're not an American, you go home to sit your country's medical exams, do your practical post-degree training.

What's your country of citizenship? What language(s) are you fluent in at a high academic-technical level of proficiency? South Korea does not appear to be particularly short of doctors, and there is a strong preference for Korean doctors. If you are not Korean, do not expect to be able to work there, even if you are highly fluent in Korean.

Vietnam might have need of foreign doctors and allow fully qualified doctors to apply for positions there. Of course, you must be highly proficient in Vietnamese so you can communicate with patients, staff, colleagues, etc.

In th U.S., the amount any doctor or surgeon makes depends on what practice they belong to, the number of surgeries they perform, the amount various insurance companies pay or negotiate for each type of surgery, etc. There isn't a set salary.
