That's not actually the case. It just turns out that most atheists are educated in critical thinking. There are many more educated Theists than atheist. (based on the statistics) I assume that the Theists want to dismiss critical thinking when it comes to their religion. They may feel they have to much to lose.

I doubt that's true. For many bright people, atheism is merely a temporary phase: it's outgrown with luck and some effort.

I am educated person yet I am still a Christian, but I have noticed this, too. I feel like most people that go through years, potentially decades, of rigorous schooling just feel that they have accumulated so much knowledge and intelligence, they lose their humility and begin forgetting the One that blessed them with all of that intellect.

Logic and reason! No god can exist as depicted by any religion. Religion is obviously a man made scam to control men's minds, and enrich the hierarchy. As a side note, all religions have a system for furnishing young people for the hierarchy's sexual pleasures. Any one with enough education to use logic, can not avoid being an atheist.

Most Nobel prizes have been given to religious Jews and Christians who discovered cures and medicines for diseases. Sabin and Salk are the best examples. They developed the vaccine for Polio, which was a major terror in the 50s. Sabin and Salk were religious Jews.
There are many scientists who are NOT atheists. I don't know where you get your prejudiced ideas, but they are dead wrong.

Furthermore, many people have not found satisfying answers to their sincere questions. However, by having a systematic study of the scriptures, a person can actually find those answers. the bible says:

I for one am not a person who puts blind faith in anything. I believe that their should be a reasonable amount of evidence available, before I sign on to a particular belief. I took the time to systematically study the scriptures. Therefore, I whole heartedly believe their is a god, and I believe the bible to be his word.
