I submitted a question saying "Why does 4Kids hate rice balls so much?" and it went under the Adoption category. WHY????

When you submit a question, Yahoo tries to guess which category it fits in, based on the words in your question. Sometimes it guesses wrong, When that happens, you can change the category by selecting a different one before you hit the final "submit" button.

Because the category selector latched onto "4kids" as a keyword.
