Can my boss force me to do push ups if im late to work?

Work starts at 7:20 AM and I walked in at 7:23 and my.boss grabbed me by the collar, and screamed in my ear "your 3 minutes late for the third time! your gonna be punished, Samsan!!!!!" then he made me do 50 push ups and he stepped on me the whole time. I then lost chair priveleges and had to stand at my desk all day.
